I was changing channels today and came across an episode of American Idol Rewind and I think I saw Lea Michele, can anyone confirm this?
No, but Amber Riley from Glee was on American Idol.
Hey, so it's been about a month since the Glee season finale and I got to thinking: all in the choir ensemble have a unique voice style. I mean Rachel is like the Barbra Streisand of the show, Mercedes is the Jennifer Hudson of the show… I was wondering what are true voice types of the singers and characters- like in a musical, a character is judged by their voice type… Tony in "West side Story" is supposed to be a tenor- I was wondering what are the voice types of each of the characters in Glee?
You have:
Rachel
Finn
Puck
Quinn
Mercedes
Kurt
Artie
Tina
Mr. Schuester
Sue Sylvester (I don't know if her singing is supposed to be real or comic relief)
Emma Pillsbury (She only sings "I Could have Danced All Night" and "like A Virgin" but she sounds like a soprano by the texture of her voice.)
What are the voice types of all the singing Glee characters?
From lowest to highest you have: Bass, Baritone, Tenor, Countertenor, Contralto, Alto, Mezzo-Soprano, and Soprano. Thanks!
I'm no expert, but in the song Proud Mary, Artie sings an A3 (the second A below middle C) without apparent difficulty, which seems a bit low for me to consider him to be a true tenor. I would consider him to be a baritone, though I don't really watch Glee so I haven't heard how well he does in the higher registers.
Voice types for each Glee character?
mine is jayma mays (emma from glee) kate moss

GLEEks, are you holding up okay?
It’s been a while since there was a new episode and we’ve still got nearly two more weeks until our next fix. the good news is the buzz around the post-Super Bowl hour indicates it’s shaping up to be worth the wait.
Unfortunately, Jayma Mays (Emma) will be MIA in that episode, but during our recent chat she did spill some thoughts on the Will-Emma-Carl triangle, Emma’s V-card status and more…We need to start off with some Will-Emma talk. the GLEE fans love you guys so much.Jayma Mays: Yay! oh, that’s wonderful, that’s so good to hear.
Are there any moments coming up that you can tease for the duo? JM: Will and Emma — that’s a tricky one because she’s married now, and I don’t think we know quite yet what direction the writers are taking that into. but it’s hard, because I understand that with Will and Emma, you kind of want them to be together, but I don’t know. She’s with someone else now, I don’t know what they’re going to do.
And Emma and Carl are actually kind of adorable right now. JM: It’s kind of good, right? he helps her with her issues, she’s loosening up a little bit, she’s forgetting to cut the crust off her peanut butter sandwich. I think it’s a good thing.
Right. He’s not necessarily right for her, but for right now, he’s a very nice guy.JM: Right, yeah. so far, so good with those things. and I don’t know, I don’t know where they’re going to take it. makes for good TV, though!
One question I have to ask given how much screen time this issue got — and I apologize for this — but is Emma still a virgin? because nothing was ever said…JM: I know! I know, I know, I know! well, you know, she’s married, they spent the night in Vegas. [Pause] One would only assume…But I haven’t been given the official word that she’s “lost it.” until I know from the writers for sure I can’t answer.
Anything can happen!JM: That’s true.
Is there anything you really want for Emma in the second half of the season?JM: Well, you know, it’s interesting. I’d just love to see where they’re pushing that character. I love how things still kind of evolve slowly. For her I think it’s dealing with the OCD and with the dirt and all that and those things kind of loosening up for her. I would love to see that kind of pushed even more. Why not, you know? Why not? I love that they’ve given her an arc in that way, I felt very lucky for my character with that arc. It’s like, “Let’s keep arcing!”
Definitely. is Emma in the Superbowl episode?JM: She’s not in the Superbowl episode, but I was at work a few days when they had been filming and they all looked exhausted. That’s how you know it’s going to be an amazing episode.
Anything else you’re excited about?JM: Well, I’m excited about Gwyneth [Paltrow (Holly)] coming back.
Oh, definitely. are Holly and Emma gonna have a throwdown this time around? even though Emma’s married, she still does kind of have a thing for Will…JM: Oh, I know, right? One could only hope. One could only hope to have a throwdown with Gwyneth Paltrow. I’d be very honored.
What are you hoping comes Emma’s way in 2011?
